Job Summary:

As the Development and Operations Manager at ABI, we seek an individual passionate about advancing science and education. In this role, you will spearhead the growth and success of our organization. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing strategic development initiatives and managing day-to-day operational activities. Your ability to seamlessly integrate technical innovation with efficient operation will be instrumental in the organization's success.

The ideal candidate must possess excellent skills in time management, project management, executive decision-making, and taking a proactive role in new developments, among others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing operational strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. This involves identifying growth opportunities and ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Continuously evaluating and optimizing operational processes to enhance efficiency and quality. This may involve streamlining workflows and standardizing procedures.
  • Leading planning, execution, and evaluation of projects. This entails coordinating with various stakeholders, setting project timelines and milestones, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget (e.g. capital renovations). 
  • Ensuring proper allocation of human resources and efficient delegation of tasks. Hiring new personnel as needed.
  • Supporting fundraising activities
  • Setting up processes for the expansion of the ABI community, including researchers, students in Armenia and abroad, and diaspora relations.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient language skills (English and Armenian)
  • Strong computer literacy with a basic understanding of financial and legal terminology
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities and challenges.
  • Proven experience in project management and team leadership
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and make executive decisions
